    Концерн Hyundai Motor Group (HMG) нанял двух признанных во всем мире ученых в области искусственного интеллекта (ИИ) – Томазо Поджио (Tomaso A. Poggio) и Даниэлу Рас (Daniela L. Rus). В составе группы советников по технологиям искусственного интеллекта они будут способствовать развитию разработок концерна и его брендов – Hyundai, KIA и Genesis – в области ИИ. 

    Как ведущие специалисты по ИИ, профессоры Поджио и Рас будут вместе с другими сотрудниками Hyundai, входящими в состав группы советников, осуществлять внешнее консультирование по вопросам планирования и практической организации инвестиций концерна в областях искусственного интеллекта, исследовательских работ и новых разработок.

    Hyundai Motor Group сформировала группу советников, в состав которой вошли лучшие специалисты в данной области. Перед группой поставлена задача вести консультационную деятельность с использованием искусственного интеллекта в следующих областях: планирование новых технологических стратегий на базе ИИ и исследование новых возможностей развития бизнеса, создание глобальных исследовательских команд, а также инвестирование с целью формирования инфраструктуры, связанной с исследованиями ИИ.

    Чтобы стать одним из лидеров в создании систем и средств устойчивой и экологически чистой мобильности будущего, HMG в настоящее время проходит масштабную трансформацию из современного автопроизводителя в провайдера решений интеллектуальной мобильности. Инструментами трансформации становятся инвестиции и прямое вовлечение в разнообразные проекты и партнерские программы в сферах искусственного интеллекта, автономного вождения, электрификации, а также обеспечения мобильности как услуги (MaaS – Mobility as a Service).

    Профессор Томазо Поджио в настоящее время является профессором программы Юджина МакДермотта по направлению исследований мозга и когнитивных возможностей, директором Центра исследований мозга, разума и машин, а также членом лаборатории компьютерных наук и искусственного интеллекта Массачусетского Технологического Института (MIT). С 2000 года он также является членом факультета института Макговерна по исследованиям мозга. 

    Поджио считается одним из наиболее значимых в мире преподавателей и ученых в области исследований нейросетей и практического применения ИИ. Он занимается разработками и анализом теоретических моделей систем человеческого зрения и является лауреатом премии Swatz Американского общества нейронаук в области теоретических вычислительных нейронаук. Генеральный директор и директор по науке Института Аллена Кристоф Кох (Christoph Koch), директор по технологиям и основатель израильской компании Mobileye Эмнон Шашуа (Amnon Shashua), генеральный директор и основатель британской компании DeepMind Демис Хассабис (Demis Hassabis) входят в число его наиболее известных учеников.

    Даниэла Рас занимает должность профессора по электрической инженерии и компьютерным наукам в техническом институте Эндрю и Эрны Витерби и является директором лаборатории компьютерных наук и искусственного интеллекта (CSAIL) Массачусетского Технологического Института. Она ведет исследования различных форм робототехники и систем автопилотирования с целью повышения качества жизни человека. В знак признания ее достижений она была выбрана лауреатом стипендии МакАртура. В апреле этого года она вошла в состав комитета советников по науке и технологиям Президента США.

    С момента формирования группы советников, HMG осуществляет обмен мнениями с членами группы на предмет возможных направлений развития бизнеса, в частности – робототехники, продвижения моделей ИИ и мобильных решений для здравоохранения. Также ведется консультационная работа по повышению качества автомобилей брендов Hyundai, KIA и Genesis.

    Стороны сотрудничают в самых разнообразных областях, включая повышение эффективности глубокого машинного обучения ИИ по технологии распознавания образов в условиях ограниченного набора данных, внедрения технологии проверки логики распознаваемых для пользователя с использованием ИИ образов (XAI или eXplainable AI – «объяснимый ИИ»), а также внедрения технологии, позволяющей мгновенно использовать новоприобретенные данные в обучении моделей и интерпретаций ИИ.

    В области робототехники группа советников обеспечивает консультирование концерна по направлениям перспектив, волновых эффектов и возможных партнерств в индустрии робототехники. Реализация проекта в области робототехники позволит достичь синергии с внутренними технологическими разработками HMG.  

    Кроме того, Hyundai Motor Group и группа советников сотрудничают в области различных инициатив, направленных на поиск потенциальных территорий для организации исследований ИИ в составе концерна, подбор связанных с бизнесом мобильности тем исследований ИИ и определение новых кандидатов для внешних партнерских проектов. Благодаря сотрудничеству с группой советников концерн получил возможность составить «дорожную карту» для обеспечения максимальной синергии деятельности Центра Инноваций Hyundai Motor Group в Сингапуре. В состав этой структуры входит также расположенный в Сингапуре Центр исследования искусственного интеллекта (AIR Center), занимающийся наукоемкими разработками в области ИИ. AIR Center будет сотрудничать с компанией AIRS – специализированной организацией по НИОКР в области ИИ в составе концерна.
